Social media scheduler

A social media scheduler is software that queues social posts and publishes them automatically at chosen times across one or more social networks.

The basic capability is the queue: drafts are saved, scheduled to a date/time, and pushed to the network via its API at the assigned moment. Most modern schedulers extend this with calendar views, multi-account management, content approval workflows, analytics, and (increasingly) AI assistance for caption rewriting.

The dividing line between "scheduler" and "content platform" has eroded. Newer tools generate the content AND schedule it; older tools focus on scheduling and leave generation to humans or third-party AI tools.

Time-zone and consistency leverage. For founders and small teams, batching content and scheduling it removes the daily decision tax of "what should I post today."
